About the Property

Met Beach Resort sits on the beach 1.2 kilometres from Malindi Beach proper and inside Kenya's marine protected zone, minutes from the Malindi Marine Park. For guests who came for the water, that position is the property's real advantage.

The resort is built around private beach access and water activity. Windsurfing is run on site, with diving, snorkelling and boat trips close by, and there is an outdoor swimming pool for guests who would rather stay out of the sea.

Deluxe rooms have memory-foam beds, in-room safes and a work surface, and some face the ocean. All of them have air conditioning, a flat-screen television, a private bathroom and a balcony.

The restaurant serves African, Italian and Mediterranean food with vegetarian and vegan preparation available, and there is a terrace, a bar, a poolside bar and a snack counter. Concierge, currency exchange and room service are available, a rooftop terrace catches the sunset, and there is a spa on site. Malindi's landmarks — the Portuguese Chapel, the Vasco da Gama Pillar, Tropical Beach — are eight to fourteen minutes away by road, and Malindi Airport is about nineteen.
