About the Property

The Emin Pasha Hotel & Spa is Kampala's original boutique hotel, a four-star property in two acres of tropical gardens in Nakasero, the city's government and business quarter. It sits within reach of the Uganda National Museum, the Independence Monument and the diplomatic district, and it is quiet in a way that part of Kampala otherwise is not.

The building marries a colonial-era house to contemporary comfort. Twenty rooms and suites are distributed over four levels, along bougainvillea-draped colonnaded walkways, with period furnishings, modern fittings and Egyptian cotton linen. The room types cover both business and leisure stays.

The kitchen is a large part of why people come. The Fez Brasserie and wine bar works fusion menus around Ugandan ingredients under experienced culinary leadership, and the bar carries a considered wine list alongside its cocktails.

The spa offers Ayurvedic massage, facials and therapeutic treatments, with a fitness room, a sauna and a steam room. There is an outdoor pool with terrace seating and a bar, and a rooftop terrace over the city.

The hotel is now part of the CityBlue Collection, Africa's fastest-growing locally founded hospitality group, while keeping its own identity and its history. Breakfast, WiFi, airport transfers and parking are included.
